May 29, 2012, 7:30 - 9:00 pm:  York Rescue Mission.  Asbury will provide the mission's speaker, music and evening meal.  Interested ministry partners are invited to contact Tom Gotwalt at 757-7668 or gotty1@comcast.net.  If you can't attend but would like to help, you can assist with food purchases or bake cookies to send along with those whom Jesus called "the least of these," our brothers and sisters.

October 2011 - April 2012:   Friendship Shalom Community After-School Tutoring:  Tutoring and meaningful activities for neighborhood children in grades 2 - 4 will be offered at several city churches.  Children will be referred by teachers at Goode Elementary.  Ministry partners are needed to tutor, provide transportation, and to assist with art, music, recreation and snacks.  You are encouraged to choose a day, time and activity that suits your gifts and schedule regardless of the location.  Tutoring ends April 10th.  New ministry partners welcome for the 2012-2013 school year.  Opportunities also exist to host or participate in monthly fun events for the children during the summer.
